Worldview Essay - 1398 Words
James Deroon CWV-101 November 29, 2014 Jonathan Sharpe Worldview Essay This semester of Christian Worldview has been beneficial for me learning more about all different types of worldviews. I started this class with a Christian background but a clean slate of not knowing what my true worldview really was. As I went through the semester, I gained tons of new knowledge to help me understand how my opinions matched with the different worldviews. In the beginning of the semester I did a worldview outline answering seven questions about different subjects of worldview. The first question asked, who is God and what are his characteristics? I said God is a spirit that I can put my complete trust and faith into no matter what. Also, I putâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦I think that Jesus has set a good guide to help make the decision between right and wrong easier with The Ten Commandments. Here are some examples, you shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. You shall not covet. (The Ten Commandments) The sixth question simply asks if there is purpose to life. I answered that I believed that everyone on this planet is put here for a certain purpose that God wants us to fulfill. It could be simple as learning important lessons or maybe to lead people to greater goals and higher enlightenment. This is tied into the Christian worldview because God sent Jesus down to Earth to die for our sins so we should be able to complete our purpose God has put in front of us. Finally, the last question what core commitments are consistent to my worldview are and how they impact my life. My response was spreading joy and love to everyone while also showing them the bright side of life. This impacts my life by having a positive outlook each day and putting smiles and motivating people to strive for the best they can. This is a great Christian outlook on life to give to others and show them how to be positive with having God on their side. These questions h elped me realize how much of a Christian I am but how I also have some other worldview beliefs as well such as New Age. ââ¬Å" they can relate to you because you understand what itââ¬â¢s like. Now I know why you said you want to be an oncologist.â⬠I gave Sandy a smile and went back to my post. I hadnââ¬â¢t gone to volunteer at the cancer center for over a week and it was surreal to be back. Sandy was the first of many staff members to give me condolences that morning. It wasnââ¬â¢t busy so I sat down to think. My boyfriend Selvin passed away the week before. I hadnââ¬â¢t cried harder in my life. Growing numb from nursing my singed heart, I forced myself not to shed a tear at that place where I felt so much comfort. As I was waiting for patients to seek my help, I opened up the locket in my necklace; inside was a piece of the rose I threw down to Selvin before he was interred. We will write a custom essay sample on The Good to Death or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page Surprisingly, the rose hadnââ¬â¢t dried and crumbled through all the action my locket got, having been compressed against the hugs of people who felt bad for me. Then I remembered. ââ¬Å"Iâ⬠¦I have umbrain tumorsâ⬠¦. listen, you donââ¬â¢t have to stay with me okay?â⬠Selvin felt awful that his girlfriend of one month had to find out but he couldnââ¬â¢t do anything; he had surgery all of a sudden and had no excuses to hide that harsh reality from me. Before I said anything, I looked back to when we first met. Selvin was a tall, handsome, and athletic young man of 17, who had an overbite of a smile that enhanced the precisely matched outfits he wore. With the addition of his charisma and jokes, the scar that spanned half the top of his shaved head meant something of little importance to me. The memory of that Selvin who accepted me unconditionally gave me no doubts to say ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m staying with you. Donââ¬â¢t you dare think Iââ¬â¢m staying with you out of pity. I justâ⬠¦think youââ¬â¢re pretty cool because youââ¬â¢re the only guy who has a good sense of fashion.â⬠And we giggled over the phone that evening in Octo ber, the day he was discharged. Selvin is my locket- he didnââ¬â¢t break in action: countless surgeries, chemotherapy, and humiliation; I am the rose- the entity consumed and protected by his infinite amount of strength. I got up from my post in the cancer center and went to the cafeteria for lunch. I sat with my friends Jasmin, Kavya, and Jovin. I looked up to say how much I missed him when I heard ââ¬Å"Youââ¬â¢re so strong Minna; you knew he was going to die anyway and you stayed with him.â⬠In anger, I raised my voice and said ââ¬Å"I believed he would get better until the day he died!â⬠That anger was not towards them. It was rather annoyance bottled up in respect to the numerous elders who claimed our relationship was nothing more than young, foolish sympathy for a hopeless boy who needed someone to cry to. ââ¬Å"Hey Baby, I know youââ¬â¢re in school right now and I couldnââ¬â¢t say this over the phone so Iââ¬â¢m emailing it. Yesterday afternoon, I was kind of seizing up and had to stay in the back of an ambulance for an hour. But donââ¬â¢t worry; it was cute in a way haha. Anyways Iââ¬â¢m sorry I sounded so knocked out for New Yearsâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ I read Selvinââ¬â¢s email in horror at the school library. I felt guilty every time something happened to him, knowing there was nothing else I could do to help but stay on the phone with him. Whenever I started to cry over his situation, he would tell me jokes until I stopped. He eased my tears, pain, and sorrow to the point where our conversations would climax with me yelling ââ¬Å"Stop letting the nurses change you Bay! Iââ¬â¢m getting jealous!â⬠Selvin is wiser than the oldest person I know- he found a beautiful purpose behind everything, even his illness; I am the purpose behind his illness- our relationship grew when there was no one else to understand us besides each other. I left the cafeteria and went back to my post in the cancer center. Things finally started to speed up as I was asked more and more where Dr. Blackwood or the mammography office was. The cancer center startled me; it aimed to end cancer but needed cancer to survive as an institute. I had the easiest job there directing patients to offices; but I loved my job. Every day I walked through those automatic doors to my podium in the lobby where I chatted with the chemotherapy and radiation patients, kept me away from the frown inside my worried heart for Selvin. The people I had come to know there called me ââ¬Å"Smileyâ⬠because they were positively puzzled as to why I never stopped smiling. They didnââ¬â¢t know it, but it was because of them. These patients and relatives gossiped and complained about the television channels in the offices before even thinking about their cancer. They were engulfed, like my boyfriend, by the biggest symptom of the terminal disease: bravery. ââ¬Å"Bay I want to be a doctor Do you like it?â⬠After hearing this, Selvin asked me what kind of doctor I wanted to be; I replied ââ¬Å"an oncologist.â⬠There was a silent understanding between us as to why I chose that specific field, an understanding we didnââ¬â¢t have to make obvious. Selvin told me ââ¬Å"Youââ¬â¢d be a great doctor. Youââ¬â¢re not like the rest of those kids who just want money; you like stuff like that.â⬠I was nervous to tell him at first; it was March and the chemotherapy wasnââ¬â¢t working, I didnââ¬â¢t want to upset him. My boyfriend had earnest faith in me. ââ¬Å"Look Baby, I never told you what you should do or not, but I think you should try out for medicine more than anything- youââ¬â¢re a natural at it.â⬠I replied with an ââ¬Å"I love you, you crazy guy,â⬠as I thanked him silently for reading my mind. Selvin is the cancer center- he fought his brain tumors but became who he was because of them; I am the cancer patient who forgot what was plaguing me when I was with him, in my safe haven where I never stopped smiling. It was time to leave the cancer center that afternoon. As I was gathering my belongings for the routine ride back home, something peculiar happened. The music in the lobby where I sat usually played a select number of songs in one month. Since I spent hours in the lobby, I knew every song that would play. Before I left however, I heard a new tune even though the playlist was the same. The loving melody of ââ¬Å"My Girlâ⬠by The Temptations left me with no doubt that although my boyfriend had left the world; he hadnââ¬â¢t left me. Even when I canââ¬â¢t see him, Selvin makes me smile.

E-Commerce Essay free essay sample
Abstract Among the Orange County on-line florist markets, Soft Touch Flowers has launched its website in this growing industry. However, despite the high growth, the competition in Orange County is stiff as the main competitors such as Everyday Flowers, Vissers Florist, OC Flowers, Capri Flowers, etcâ⬠¦occupy the market. Therefore, Soft Touch Flowers needs better effective business strategies to stand up and be strong in this complicated competition from the existing on-line flower shops. The focus of this paper is to outline three main disadvantages which include website environment, market competitions and consumerââ¬â¢s demand which Soft Touch Flowers has experienced for the past year in its e-commerce business. To overcome this difficult time, especially in current economic crisis, recommendation to Soft Touch Flowers will also be discussed. Soft Touch Flowers A New Way to Success The high growth rate versus the tough competition of floral markets in Orange County leads to problem statement which is ââ¬Å"How can Soft Touch Flowers successfully plan a marketing strategy for its own business? The purpose of this essay is to describe and analyze the three disadvantages that the business has experienced in the past year. The first disadvantage is website environment. It is the variable showing the attractiveness of the website to the customers. The more secure the site is, the better trust that clients put into the business. The fewer barriers in legal and culture, the higher the marketââ¬â¢s attractiveness is. The reason for customer not to do an online purchase at Soft Touch Flowers website is lack of trust. When a customer has an experience with a seller who provides good service, that customer begins to trust the seller. When a customer has multiple good experiences with a seller, that customer feels loyal to the seller. Thus, the repetition of satisfactory service can build customer loyalty, which can prevent a customer from seeking alternative sellers who offer lower prices (Schneider, 2010). In many social interactions, where uncertainty and dependency is involved, trust plays an important role. Trust can be thought as a mental factor, which can implement as a mechanism to reduce the complexity of human behavior in situations where people have to ope with uncertainty or risk when ordering flowers from Soft Touch Flowers website. Trust issues need not only to be incorporated into the design, but also to the development, management of payment system and throughout the entire website. Due to lack of security, customer would hesitate to order flowers through Soft Touch Flowers as user does not see McAfee Secure or VeriSign as they normally appear on the homepage of the website to ensure the transactio n is not at risk and allow customers to feel safe using the website. Market competition is the second disadvantage that the business has faced. This is including advertising, product price and promotion elements. There was only certain amounts of flyers were printed and passed out in a small Vietnamese community in Little Saigon area. By only doing this, there were not many customers who actually went on the site and ordered the flowers. Moreover, it did not get all the attention of other communities in the entire Orange County. There was no advertising on weekend newspaper, local radio and TV stations. Soft Touch Flowers product price is more expensive than Capri Flowers. For instance, a Loving Memories Casket Spray costs $326. 9 at Soft Touch Flowers (Soft Touch Flowers, 2011) while it only costs $232. 95 at Capri Flowers (Capri Flowers, 2011) for a similar flower arrangement. Holiday sales have not been added to the website on a specific occasion when it comes. Eventually, just a matter of a computer click, customer will navigate to other sites and look for special promotion discounts. Customersââ¬â¢ demand is identifi ed as the third disfavor when it comes to Soft Touch Flowers. When sending flowers to anyone, the most important consideration other than freshness of flowers is the delivery on time. This aspect is also a key point to value the service of any online flower shop. Since the owner did not hire a delivery personal, she had to do both flower arrangement and delivery. Therefore, if the order was in Los Angeles area, she would not able to accommodate that. The result of this was lots of orders could not be placed due to distance too far away from Orange County. The business did not meet its expected revenue and faced a difficult time of losing potential clients. The excessive development of flowering industry is the inspiration of art. The aim of this essay was to describe and analyze the disadvantages of Soft Touch Flowers website in term of market environment, competition and consumerââ¬â¢s demand. The recommendation will provide a foundation to improve the construction of the site and to help bringing in more revenue by having a better marketing strategies planning. For the website environment and security, one major concern of any e-commerce business is website security. Generally, it is the objective of every site administrator to ensure that it is safe. In order to accomplish, Soft Touch Flowers must put strong security protection in place by signing up with VeriSign and McAfee for both payment system and appropriate access rights. Having VeriSign and McAfee on a website is excellent direction to show potential clients that the business is safe and secure for online transactions. VeriSign reports that 79 percent of shoppers from the United State understand their seal to be a sign of trust they are familiar with (eHow, 2011). The below Figure 1-1 illustrates the pricing comparison between several sellers for McAfee Total Protection 2011 with pricing range from $29. 7 to $79. 99 (PC Magazine, 2011). FIGURE 1-1 McAfee Total Protection 2011 site pcmag. com Orange County is favorable place for flower industry due to the excellent weather of California and the result in higher demand in affluent products. Nevertheless, due to high volume of on-line flower shops in Orange County, the newcomer to this market will definitely have to face a h igh competition. In order to survive, Soft Touch Flower will need to improve continuously to increase its customers as people are more and more exposed to wide variety of products and promotions. The key to success is to find the needs that really matter to customers. Soft Touch Flowers should find special flower designs that are unique and high quality with a reasonable pricing. Moreover, the company should emphasize on gift promotion as it is claimed to be the most effective way to appeal clients. Additionally, it is because word of mouth is important. Clients are not only satisfied with their purchase, but also talk about the service, products to their friends, colleagues and family. Product promotion is a good way to encourage sales, introduce or differentiate one business to another competitor. Post coupons on the website for customers to use when ordering flowers or offer merchandise for a percentage off. After realigning the website structure and applying new marketing strategies, Soft Touch Flower will surely make its way to success. Having a secure, attractive website indeed will benefit the business in many ways. Leverage all the advertising tips for e-commerce to bring Soft Touch Flowers to another whole new level and especially, meet the customersââ¬â¢ demand and desire in flowering industry and society. Ethical Issues in IT
Question: Discuss about theEthical Issues in IT. Answer: Introduction The Maters Home Improvement was a well known business organisation that had managed to provide hardware services at very low cost to the customers in more than 20 locations all over United Kingdom. Different kinds of hardware were installed by the company at very low cost along with there were options of online service booking or delivery for small jobs that cost less than $1000. The time between order and delivery of services were also reduced and the installation of the hardware components was also satisfactory and efficient. One the other hand, the other business organisation named Mitre 9 was another hardware servicing store which had provided services in over 23 locations all over Australia (AO'Brien et al, 2006). The company had also provided world class high quality services to people which had satisfied their customers to a large extent. The workers of the company were skillful and knowledge as a result of which the services delivery were also done timely and appropriately. T he store also did possess good lighting and music had been played within the store. A big plasma TV screen was also set up along with displays of multimedia sales and mannequins that further improved the decoration of the store. The report mainly illustrated about the merging of these two hardware companies for providing excellence to its services delivered to the customers (Applegate et al, 2007). Main Body Management processes and involvement in planning for information systems and information technology in an organisation The senior management decided to name the merged companies as Hardware-r-us. The new company would retain all the workers who previously worked in the two companies and also all the hardware equipments would be restored. As Mitre9s system was becoming old fashioned so it would be replaced with the new and improved system and it would also provide good quality and wide range of hardware servicing at very low prices. The bookings of orders could be done online as well in case of small jibs that cost less than $1000. A service charge of 15 percent would be placed though. With the merging of the two companies, the Hardware-r-us would also implement newer and advanced information systems and information technology so as to provide assistance to customer that would not only influence them to make choices regarding purchase from the company but would also set up a good brand image (Baskerville Wood-Harper, 2016). So, proper processes of management and planning were essential so as to set u p the information systems and technology in order to become successful within the business environment. The information systems would be implemented within Hardware-r-us which is an essential component for achieving success in business. It could help in administration and management within the business environment as well as serve as an effective tool for ensuring successful business operations and processes. The information system included all the organisational workers and staffs, hardware and software components, networks used as well as data sources that were used for collecting, exchanging and distributing of information to the client regarding the services provided by the company (Bhatt et al, 2005). The information system could be formal, informal, manual or computer based information systems. On the other hand, the information technology was mainly implemented so as to change the resources of data into various information and data about the services provided to the customers . The information technology systems also supported major business operations that helped Hardware-r-us to track the orders placed by customers as well as services wanted by them online. The services would be provided along with customer assistance 24*7 which provided ease to gather as well as integrate data and information. The customers would also be acknowledged with answers regarding any sort of issues that they faced. The information systems also supported decision making abilities by managers that further helped them to understand the business outcomes (Blumenthal, 2009). The IT systems helped the managers to analyse the present market conditions and then make decisions quickly and effectively. The company would also be able to gain competitive advantage in business with performing some activity that could be of value to the customers and also might be better than other companies. The management of information system would also be essential for understanding the nature of anal ysis as well as determine the availability of data and information based on its frequency and demand. The quantity of information as well as its appropriateness and reliability along with securing those would also be possible with the help of information technology system within Hardware-r-us (Boudreau Robey, 2005). Application of Information Technology Systems The information systems mainly dealt with the computer systems usage and technological implementation within Hardware-r-us for providing continuous support to people as well as provide good quality hardware services to people and also ensure that they could book or order online too with much ease and effectiveness. In case of information systems, the computer systems, both hardware and software components as well as staffs were combined as an unit so as to develop, store, modify and also distribute data and information in an effective manner. As it could be seen from the case study, that both the companies Maters Home Improvement and Mitre 9 were merged, so it was necessary to allow for advanced information systems that could improve the organizational workforce structure that could lead to enhanced support and deliver excellent services to people (Buhalis Law, 2008). The information systems would help to record and store information and also utilize technology based and non-technol ogical tools and techniques so as to enable continuous support and assistance to people and also monitor the records and orders made by them on a consistent basis. The information technology is a major aspect of the information systems and has very little differences between the two. It basically included the ways by which the designing, implementation and management of the computer based information systems so as to manage proper communication and also make the tasks of people easier for the merged companies. The information technology was applied within the organisational workforce so as to manage the networks as well as hardware and software components by managing data and information and also keep those secure in a digitized manner (Chaudhry et al, 2006). It also support telecommunication systems through which people could communicate among themselves, as a result of which the clients would be contacted easily by the workers of Hardware-r-us easily too. The technological aspects would be managed easily, thereby helping to improve the process of information technology implementation and also achieve the goals and objectives of the organisati on easily. The information technology utilization within Hardware-r-us would also help to provide cyber security as well as prevent unauthorized access to data and information as well (Davenport, 2013). The data base would be managed properly along with proper management of infrastructure and network, which would further be beneficial for proper resource planning and development of software. The information technology would include various computer programming languages that would help in developing useful software as well as carry put computer forensics so as to prevent any kinds of theft or frauds related to the computer database system. Thus it could be clearly understood that the combining of information systems and technology would help the merged companies to become high-tech connected, as a result of which the choices and decisions of customers would also be influenced. This would further promote a positive brand image among their minds and would help in ensuring increase in sales and profit in business (Dumas et al, 2005). Identify and Co Relate Emerging Technology Issues in Management and Provide a Short Balanced Analysis Report There could be a number of issues of technology during the management processes involving the planning of information technology systems. As it could be seen that the two companies had been merged so as to improve the organisational processes and also make sure that the services delivered to customers were also of good quality. The new company named Hardware-r-us managed to replace the traditional old system with new and innovative computerized system as a result of which the management of business operations and processes was much easier and effective than before. Few of the technological issues that emerged before the two companies were merged included problem to communicate with the clients and discussing with them about the problems that they faced regarding the hardware servicing (Fitzsimmons Fitzsimmons, 2013). The time taken between the placing of orders and providing services was much more as a result of which quite a lot of customers were unsatisfied and took the help of ot her hardware servicing companies. Due to the absence of new and improved information systems, the costs of servicing was somewhat greater and there was also reduced number of visits at home for measuring and quoting the problems related to hardware servicing. With time, the company decided that it was high time to manage improvements and make sure that information systems and information technology within the organisation must be planned so as to attract more customers as well as influence them to make purchases from the company rather than from any other companies in the competitive business environment (Jasperson et al, 2005). Previously few of the other emerging issues were lack of proper communication between the workers too, which hindered successful services delivery to the clients. As the two companies merged, the previous systems were all replaced by new ones though all the products, supplies and workers were all retained. The services were also subjected to change and impro ve, due to which those were available at low cost and the company also provided tips for the clients so that they could use those themselves. The orders could also be made online by the customers now with the implementation of information systems that helped in customers support as well as online services delivery. The booking of orders could be made for the jobs that cost less than $1000 with a very less amount of service charge, i.e., only 15 percent (Mell Grance, 2011). It could be clearly seen that with the proper planning of information systems and technology, it was implemented within the merged company Hardware-r us. This definitely helped to enhance the quality of services provided as a result of which the customers were quite sure about making the right choices of getting hardware servicing from the company rather than from any other company (Leidner Kayworth, 2006). The customer services were also improved, as a result of which customers could get 24 hours services and h eld desk support talk throughout the whole week. This had also spread a positive brand image among the customers, which had results in trust and loyalty among them too. With the implementation of information technology systems, the company also managed to advertise and promote their company and its wide range of products and services through television, magazines as well as internet. This attracted large number of customers as well as retained the existing customers who previously used to make purchases from the two companies earlier before merging. International business was also one the focus of the company in the upcoming years, which would give rise to newer opportunities like trade services that would further ensure growth and development of the company as well in the future (Melville, 2010). Conclusion The current topic illustrated about how the two hardware servicing companies merged together so as to provide improved hardware servicing and installation services delivery to people all over Australia and also reduce the ethical issues of information technology management systems. This had not only attracted new customers but also retained the existing customers, thereby created a positive brand image too (Mun et al, 2006). The senior management made a number of decisions, as a result of which the existing staffs, products and services provided by the company remained intact and the services were also available online within a very reasonable cost too. The old system of Mitre 9 was replaced with the new and improved systems of Mater Home improvement. Though the information systems and information technology were implemented for the benefit of the company, still I personally would prefer some other improvements as well within the new merged company Hardware-r-us (O'Brien Marakas, 20 05). Recommendations It is recommended that the information technology system must be used for sharing and exchanging information with other companies and also establishes a global business presence, which would incur more profit in business and also ensure business growth and expansion as a whole (Peffers et al, 2007). The advertising and promotional activities must be done with the help of information systems which could attract as well as retain more potential and existing customers towards the company. The 24*7 customer services support would be recommended as well for providing assistance to the customers regarding any problems that they might face. A documentation of communication plan would be recommended as well for including communication about projects and also discuss about the cost of expenditures (Turban et al, 2008). The new technologies are always beneficial, though there might be chances of risks and issues when the data and information are not kept secured. The article was written by Dawn Stover, In January 2001. The tile of this article is called Ancient Asteroid. I found this article at http://popsci.com/scitech/news/010219.s.html. This article is about How Astronomers had thought that the asteroid 433 Eros might have been a flying pile of rubble, but now after looking over the images and the millions of measurements taken by the earth Astroid near the shoemaker spacecraft the scientist say that Eros is a "consolidated" asteroid, witch is a solid object. However Eros never separated to the distinct crust, mantle, nor core. Cause of the low level on the aluminum detected on Eros, The scientist at John Hopkins University Appiled Physics Laboratory said that the Astroid did not experience anything like the melting process of the earth's shape. An Eros are about the size of Manhattan and the shape is like a peanut. If it was as large as the earth It most likely not keep it's shape. Since the Eros have less gravity than earth, A person would weigh about 150 pounds here and would way about one or two bags of airline peanuts. I think that this is something new that can turn into something big. For along time Astronomers thought that the asteroid was flying a pile of rubble. Well I guess they were wrong cause They found new evidence to prove its not right. I think they are most likely going to find more about this. They just have to gather more information.

Asos Company Advertising
Executive Summary Asos Company trades in clothing and markets its products online. This year, the Company is planning for an advertising campaign through TV channels and weekly magazines.Advertising We will write a custom report sample on Asos Company: Advertising specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More The budgeted amount for the campaign is $500,000 and the advertisement will start from the month of July. The TV advertisement will appear three times during the sport news and cost $60,000. The campaign will also appear in a weekly magazine in an A4 spread and cost $42,000 (Pozzi 2012). The objective of the campaign is to increase the sales by the end of July by 5%. The objective is based on the growth of online sales in Australia, which have increased to 61% from 59% during the last financial year. Going by the strategies in place, by the end of July sales are expected to increase by 5%. The online advertisement is aiming at evoking int erests from a wide range of customers especially women (Marquis Udo 2001). Background of ASOS Company Two people namely Nick and Quentin founded ASOS in June 2000 in the United Kingdom. The acronym refers to ââ¬Å"as seen on screenâ⬠. The company started as a small business that specialized on online sales of products that were associated with celebrities. ASOS has about 1000 employees and approximately 50,000 brands on fashion. Within one year after the Company was created, it joined London Stock Exchange and continued growing in size. ASOS has developed strategies to attract attention from women from the year 2005 by introducing a beauty line and menââ¬â¢s line in the year 2007. Today, the company is the leading retailer in the United Kingdom (Brynjolfsson Smith 2001). Introduction ASOS Company is targeting to evoke interests from 16.6 million unique customers on monthly basis from different parts of the world where the targeted customers are aged 18 years and above. La st year alone, the number of online users registered with ASOS Company reached 8.7 million while those who had already shopped from the Company reached 4.7 million from 160 states (Marquis Udo 2001). ASOS Company specializes in Unisex clothes and brands in fashion but the current strategies also aim at evoking the interest of older women by meeting their special needs. ASOSââ¬â¢s campaign is unique in that no other Company has explored the target market of older women. The older women being targeted by the company are aged between 35 and 50 years (Pozzi 2012).Advertising Looking for report on business economics? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More Reasons for targeting women aged between 30 to 50 years There are many reasons why the company should target women between the age of 30 and 50 years (Brynjolfsson Smith 2001). Women at this age are always occupied with their families either attending to their kids at home or takin g them to school as well as outings on weekends and holidays. They do such activities every time they are free from work. Such women therefore require to dress in outfits that give them confidence as their activities involve interacting with people of their class (Marquis Udo 2001). On the other hand, women approaching the age of 50 years become less busy with most of their children being through with schooling thus reducing the number of commitments. At this time, women like spending their extra time in going out and socializing with friends. It is therefore paramount for them to improve their appearance. ASOS Company wishes to help such women style their appearance at a price they can afford (Brynjolfsson Smith 2001). Women aged 30 and 50 years experience change in fashion through their peers and like adjusting their wardrobes to match the new social group. Therefore, women aged between 30 and 50 years like being confident and careful when choosing their attires. ASOS will ensur e that the campaign includes seeking the input of women at the specified age and pays attention to their comments about what they enjoy wearing as well as observing the fashions being worn by similar women in different parts of the world (Marquis Udo 2001). More focus will be on creating awareness for the prospective women customers at this age than provoking their behaviour towards the products because this strategy follows the hierarchy model. According to the model, the number of those who are interested with awareness and knowledge is always high but as the pyramid goes up the number of those who can change their behaviour towards a particular brand decreases (Marquis Udo 2001).Advertising We will write a custom report sample on Asos Company: Advertising specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More The women who may be unaware of the products require awareness by recognizing the products in the adverts using repetitive messages bearing the name of the products offered by the company. This will be difficult because some women may have their attention captured but fail to note the brand offered by the company (Whit 1998). ASOS will concentrate on building the knowledge base of the women targeted because they may be aware of the products but lack more information them. The advertisement will target women to make them comprehend the names on the different brands of clothes sold by the company as well as what the names of the brands represent. ASOS will focus on ways to convince customers how its brands are different from those of its competitors as well as identifying the specific appeals based on their benefits to the women (Pozzi 2012). The Company will build the preference for the women customers by promoting the quality of the clothes and other features such as high performance and value because the women may like the brands but not prefer them to products from the competitors. ASOS will measure the success of th e campaign by checking the preference of women before and after the advertisements. The Company will also build on convincing the targeted women because making them prefer its brands to others may not necessarily mean they will be convinced to buy (Marquis Udo 2001). The final step in the campaign will be targeting women to purchase the products because they may be convinced to make the purchase but fail to get around to actual purchasing. The customers may continue waiting for more details about the brand or decide to make the purchases later (Pozzi 2012). The campaign will ensure the targeted women take the final step by reducing the price of the clothes and introducing premiums for the products.Advertising Looking for report on business economics? Thus, the campaign by ASOS Company will be systematic. The stages will start with building awareness and end with the purchasing of the brands (Brynjolfsson Smith 2001).
